So you’re a social animal?
Yeah? Keep reading.
By social animal we mean someone who sees the world in content. A conversation at a dinner table. A stranger on the subway. A comment section at 2am. All of it is potential. Because you refuse to adapt ideas to social. You think in social first and work backwards from there.
Most creatives can do social. You can't do anything else.
Sounds like you? Keep reading.
If not no worries. We're not really looking at the bounce rate of this page.
We're looking for a Freelance Social-First Creative
Most social content exists to fill a calendar. We're not interested in that.
We're interested in ideas that stop the scroll because they're worth stopping for. Work that earns attention instead of asking for it. Content that moves people enough to share, save, or talk about it in a group chat at midnight.
The feed is the most competitive creative environment on the planet. Everyone is fighting for the same three seconds. Safe doesn't survive there. Bland gets buried. The only thing that works is work worth watching.
The goal is to raise the standard. Creativity and selling product are the same job.
Also, full transparency. This is not a large structure. It is a small, high-trust creative setup. The “we” is intentional. Not corporate.
What we build together:
We find the idea everything else pulls from.
We write copy built for the scroll. Short enough to stop it. Strong enough to be remembered.
We shape campaigns that live in culture. Not just on brand pages.
We interrogate the brief and each other until only what matters remains.
We focus on making work neither of us, and our clients, could arrive at alone.
Senior or fresh out of school. If the thinking is right we want to talk.
Who you are:
Social is where your best thinking lives. Not an afterthought.
You write for how people actually scroll. Not how brands wish they did.
You understand culture. You know when to create it and when to ride it.
Your portfolio shows ideas built for the feed. Not adapted to it.
You have strong taste and you can articulate why.
You find ideas and translate them into social campaigns that actually land.
You write copy that is clear, persuasive, and commercially effective.
You understand brand positioning and how it shows up in culture.
Low ego. High standards.
You are not looking for more work. You are looking for better work.
Agency or in-house background is a plus.
Degree preferred. Or not. If you can consistently come up with ideas that move people nobody is checking your diploma.
Important notes on how this works:
No DMs. You'll get an automatic response if it's a fit. If it's not you'll hear that too. No ghosting. No "let's grab coffee sometime and never do." No vague professional flirting.
Just a yes or a no. Very old school. Very efficient. And if things go sideways later it's probably me. I care more than is professionally reasonable. About the work, the brief, the kerning, and whether the period should be inside or outside the quote. It's a whole thing.
